Transportation

In this sector, our parts are used in large diesel engines for locomotives and ships, but also in the propulsion system of meters and trams. We also supply parts for manufacturers of mining, construction and agricultural machinery. These parts are characterized by strict requirements for the quality of production together with various types of surface treatment. In this segment, it is mainly a larger series of ordered pieces. We supply up to 1000 pieces of individual parts per month. 

With regard to greater seriality, we use our automated robotic workplaces, such as Takisawa, in production. We supply these parts for OEMs operating in the US and Europe markets. The manufactured parts include, for example, workpieces of forged screws, crane pins, bolts with special surface treatment, bearing covers, hinge pins, and other special connecting materials.

Manufacturing and Quality processes

All processes, materials, subcontracting and inspection services are monitored throughout the entire production. We pride ourselves on our custom manufacturing services. Through close collaboration with the customer, we create parts based on individual requirements, as well as industry standards and documentation. Customers are also able to supply materials or semi-finished products and we provide the final machining of the product.

SANBORN uses the latest technology for machining, CNC turning, drilling, grinding and milling. We have both vertical and horizontal machining centres. Special processes such as thread rolling, deep hole drilling and diamond belt grinding are used throughout the production. SANBORN also place great importance on the quality of the product. The complete production process is accompanied by measurement and checking processes which are appropriately documented.
